Our church has been busy this week running our 13th consecutive children’s holiday program called “Going Bananas”. This year we have been blessed with a team of 75 leaders (teens and adults) and up to 160 children. I commend the great work that “China Heart” does amongst the poor, needy and orphans in China. The short term mission teams called “Mercy Teams” are a wonderful way to show God’s care and practical help to children who are struggling. Please check out the China Heart website : http://www.chinaheartint.org/ Also: http://www.amccsm.org/

I returned from my mission trip with CCSM on the weekend. The international team visited an orphange in central China and spent around two weeks caring for children from babies to teenagers. The website also includes information on motivating an interest in children’s ministry at a local level as well. This site is certainly worth looking at to gain a better understanding [...]

I take off tonight for Hong Kong and will be away for two weeks in China. I have arranged for my wife Sue to publish some blogs while I’m away so there will be something happening while I’m away from internet access. If you’re a regular reader of this blog and find it helpful sometimes, [...]

The subject of a sermon I am giving this Sunday is “Good News For All”. My Bible passage is Acts 14 where Paul and Barnabas are on their first missionary journey to Iconium, Lystra, Derbe, and Antioch. As we’ll have a number of families with children of all ages present (school holidays here) I’ve decided [...]
